The seeds we work with have a history. We chose them together with Dr. Costel Vânătoru, a researcher at the Buzău Genetic Resources Bank, and with Prof. Dr. Ion Toncea, who spent his life studying traditional Romanian corn varieties. These varieties have adapted over generations to the climate and soil here — they are more resilient, more aromatic, and more nutritious. An indigenous seed is not just a plant: it is the memory of a place. When you cultivate it, you also cultivate the identity of the landscape it comes from.
